I’ve Just Passed My Driving Test!

Posted by:

We all remember that feeling of passing our driving test after all of that hard work.  I actually remember shouting out “I’ve just passed my driving test” and I remember venturing out in my second-hand car for the very first time…on my own.  The feeling was excitement, pure and simple.  The first thing I did was drive to my friend’s house and we drove around for a while…cruised I believe the term is.  Those were good times.  Was the hard ...

They set themselves up as “The Oracle” and the fount of all knowledge – quite often after scraping through a driving test; their pronouncements being based upon how long ...

Young drivers nearly twice as likely to crash on rural roads

Posted by:

A survey has uncovered ‘disturbing evidence’ of young drivers’ safety record on rural roads.

Evidence shows that young rural drivers are nearly twice as likely (44 per cent) to be involved in a collision compared with young urban drivers.

Government proposals to curb the excesses of newly-qualified young drivers have received surprise backing – from young drivers themselves.

Research reveals that four in 10 drivers aged 17-25 would welcome mandatory motorway driving lessons, with a similar number backing night-time motorway lessons and breath-alcohol ...
